Visiting Washington, DC always feels like coming full circle. I was born in the nation’s capital, and every time I return, I’m reminded of the rich history, resilience, and energy that shaped my early years. From the monuments to the neighborhoods, DC isn’t just where I’m from—it’s where my foundation in technology, ambition, and service was built. I’m especially grateful that my father, a U.S. Navy veteran, made the decision to relocate here from Charleston, SC before I was born—it laid the groundwork for so many opportunities in my life. It’s always inspiring to walk familiar streets and reflect on how far I’ve come and where I’m headed.
